From Drifting to Dwelling
A 4-Week Transformational Study to Rediscover the Fruitfulness of God
"Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit"
- Zechariah 4:6
A Personal Message from Kneisha
Here in the United States, it's back to school season and as many of us get back in the rhythm and routine of a new school year, it's easy to get caught up in the busyness of the season.
However, God reminded me of the scripture, Zechariah 4:6 "Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit." He showed me how in the happenings of life it's easy for us to begin operating in our own strength. This may look like: weight loss that seems impossible, career direction that feels unclear, financial breakthrough that's delayed, peace that seems out of reach, healing that feels distance, or a desire to rekindle our relationship with God.
The truth is, life happens. It can be you're in a season of caregiving, new parenthood, recovery, grief, <insert your situation here>, and if you're not careful, you can find yourself getting carried away by what's happening without even realizing that it's causing you to drift away from the presence of God.
In our self-led attempt to produce fruit, we wonder why "doing the thing" or "getting the outcome" is so hard only to find that despite our best efforts, it's unfruitful or unsustainable. This is an indication that we're operating outside of God's grace.
"My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness. Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me."
- 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NASB)
Operating in your own strength can be caused by fatigue, busyness, sin, distractions, disappointment, or all of the above. It's not until we begin to struggle, we wonder how to put forth "additional" effort to make something happen. So, if there's an area in your life where you're trying to make something happen, take a pause and join me for this transformational study.
Let's go back to Holy Spirit to experience His fruit and see what He wants to produce in our life.

Your 4-Week Journey Overview
Week 1: Stop Drifting
We will kickoff the study understanding what it means to drift from the presence of God and how John 15:4 is a key in how we stop drifting.
"Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me."
- John 15:4 (NKJV)
Week 2: Love God First
We'll spend more time in understanding what it means to love God by abiding and the fruitfulness that is produced from us remaining in the true vine.
"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind."
- Matthew 22:37 (NKJV)
Week 3: Love Your Neighbor
We'll transition from understanding what it means to Love God first (the greatest commandment) to loving our neighbor (the second greatest commandment) and the fruit that is produced from that.
"You shall love your neighbor as yourself."
- Matthew 22:39 (NKJV)
Week 4: Love Yourself
We'll continue to focus on the second greatest commandment by zooming in on what it means to love yourself and the fruitfulness associated with that.
"You shall love your neighbor as yourself."
- Matthew 22:39 (NKJV)
Over these 4 weeks we will understand how love is the key.
As a fruit of the Spirit, it is the first fruit because God first loved us.
It is because of this love that God nudges us when we unknowingly drift away.
For He will leave the 99 for the 1 who is lost.
God's Unbreakable Love
"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: 'For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.'
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
- Romans 8:35-39 (NIV)
I pray you feel and experience this love in our study together.
